Star Energy acquired the former Jingde Environmental Protection Project in 2020 and established Ningbo Haijing Environmental Technology Co., Ltd., a company specializing in the reception and disposal of waste mineral oil and waste emulsion, oily sewage from ships, and oil sludge during cabin cleaning and tank cleaning. It is also is the core base of offshore oil spill emergency system designated by the competent department of Zhejiang Province.
Haijing Environmental has one 5,000-ton and one 1,000-ton berth, which are used for reception and disposal of oily sewage from ships as well as loading and unloading of emergency rescue materials for oil spills. The company is equipped with the largest device for comprehensive utilization of oily sewage in China with a capacity of 200,000 tons/year, a tank farm with a capacity of 40,000 cubic meters, 18 storage tanks of different sizes, an oil spill emergency material warehouse of 3,500 square meters, a ship waste classification yard of 25,000 square meters, a sewage treatment plant with a capacity of 30 tons/hour, a waste emulsion treatment device with a capacity of 18,000 tons/year, a malodorous waste gas treatment device, and other facilities for environmental protection projects as well as public facilities for power, heat, and gas supply. The project which covers an area of approximately 188 mu (12.53 hectares) is adjacent to Ningbo Gangxin Warehousing Base. The connected coastline of the two bases forms a 3-kilometer deep-water coastline.
Haijing Environmental has obtained the "Hazardous Waste Business License" issued by the Zhejiang Environmental Protection Bureau. After Star Energy became the holding company, it has ramped up efforts to improve product processing technology and quality, which has brought about significant environmental protection effects and meets the requirements for energy conservation and emission reduction, as well as the development of circular economy and maritime economy. Besides, such efforts will further improve the capacity of Ningbo Zhoushan Port Area to provide comprehensive supporting services.
Haijing Environmental is located at the easternmost point in Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province. In terms of land transportation, the exit of Guoju expressway connects to the Baiyang Line, and the Baizhong Line directly leads to Haijing Environmental, making the company easily accessible. In terms of sea transportation, the company adjoins the main channel of Ningbo Zhoushan Port, allowing it to provide services of receiving and disposal of offshore oily sewage for Ningbo, Zhoushan, Xiangshan, and other areas.
